Screening Room: Morgan Fisher programme at BFI Southbank
Thursday 14 April 2011, 8pm

BFI Southbank and Raven Row are delighted to present a unique opportunity to see Screening Room by Morgan Fisher – a film that can only be shown in the auditorium for which it was made. This version was made in 1973 for NFT2 as part of the International Festival of Independent Avant-Garde Film at the National Film Theatre, organised by David Curtis and Simon Field and it has been shown only rarely since then. The programme will also include screenings of Fisher’s films The Director and His Actor Look at Footage Showing Preparations for an Unmade Film (2) (1968), Picture and Sound Rushes(1973), Cue Rolls (1974), and Projection Instructions (1976). Morgan Fisher will be present to discuss his work with Tate Modern Film Curator Stuart Comer; his collaborator Paul Morrison will make a guest appearance.
