Set in a 19th-century village, and featuring the same group of characters who appeared in Kaboré’s debut film Wend Kuuni (1982), Buud Yam follows a man trying to clear his name of accusations of sorcery and searching for his own roots in the process. The film, a Burkinabé classic, is introduced by director Gaston Kaboré.
